House of GRK: Brand strategy, brand identity design

Client

House of GRK is an authentic Greek cuisine restaurant based in Penrith, Sydney. The startup business identified an opportunity to provide high quality authentic Greek street food in the local community and has quickly become a local favourite to all food lovers, attracting interest from far and wide. Hot dishes include oven-baked Moussaka, Pastichio, Gemista and Souvlaki Pita Wraps as their speciality with three different chip options (Greek, Feta and Haloumi) and three salad options (Greek, Greek Slaw and Garden Salad). GRK contacted Boldfish to help create a new brand identity for the business.

Discovery

  • We helped distil the branding identity design direction by creating style scapes and mood boards to collaborate with the owners
  • We learned they were after a clean, modern brand identity that reflected a proud greek heritage and values of a high quality and trustworthy brand
  • With a strong social media reliance it was critical the brand identity design was flexible and worked responsively across a variety of proportions and sizes online

Strategy

  • Brand colours were chosen to compliment greek cultural reference (flag) and a sleek modern look (black)
  • Modern clean san-serif typography, strong palettes, iconic and wordmark logos were developed for the brand identity to work across the various touchpoints required
  • Once the brand identity design and rules were established Boldfish then created various other branded touch-points required for the business launch including -: signage, bags, wrapping paper, labelling, menus and digital brand assets
