CDG: Brand strategy, brand identity design
Client
For over 25 years, CDG has been involved in the acquisition, development and management of over $3 billion in real estate throughout Australia. The Group has been involved in a range of projects spanning residential, commercial, retail, hospitality and industrial developments. They collaborate with renowned architects and interior designers to deliver quality, spacious residences people want to live in as the owner-occupier is a growing discerning market. CDG approached Boldfish to help create a new brand identity that would reflect current, luxurious and timeless qualities of the properties they provide for their customers.
Discovery
- Meeting with the company founders we learned they were after a clean, modern, contemporary brand identity
- The brand design needed to be flexible and work responsively across a variety of proportions and sizes in both digital and print environments
- They wanted a focus on clean, minimal design that reflected the modern, open spaces their architecture and developments offered
Strategy
- A full stop was used as a brand design device that could be utilised to highlight development locations on the map and
- Modern wordmark logo, strong palettes (with spot gold to indicate luxury), clean typography and design grids along with rules for usage were developed in a Brand Guidelines document which was updated as further assets were developed
