Atticus: Brand strategy, identity, digital design
Client
Atticus is a law firm of dynamic, socially aware and talented lawyers and legal professionals with an unwavering commitment to delivering the highest standard of legal services in their industry. They are a purpose-driven and values-based business focusing on integrity, courage, enthusiasm, empathy, doing the right thing, asking questions and always challenging the status quo. Atticus approached Boldfish to help them create a new brand identity to help them improve and elevate their brand positioning and marketing communications.
Discovery
- Atticus is a warm, happy and inspiring work environment driven by a strong work ethic and commitment to customer service and to make a positive difference to people’s lives
- Meeting with the company founder we learned they were after a clean, modern and contemporary brand identity that was different to other more conservative law firms
- We learned Atticus was named after the fictional character in Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of 1960, To Kill a Mockingbird and the founder liked the typewriter typeface which connected visually to the era and film adaptation.
Strategy
- Art directed a photography shoot to create more personalised, authentic and engaging visual assets of a warm inviting contemporary environment for clients to visit
- Created a new Atticus word-mark brand identity with typewriter based font that was distinctive, complimented the name and was easily adaptable to a wide range of touch-points
- Ensured the brand identity design was fresh, vibrant in colour and flexible and worked responsively across a variety of proportions and sizes online and in print
